Greyed Out

Wow SL was a lagfest today when I tried to go shopping but after taking the graphics down to zero I got through, survived and bought some gorgeous things too! I’ll try and blog of some later as I really like the outfit I am wearing today for my shopping expedition and wanted to blog that!

My skin and the vest/gillet are both from this weekends Fifty Linden Friday event from Glam Affair and DCNY respectively. Both are great wintery items and perfect for those of us who want to remain a bit festive, enjoy the wintery weather and also still look a teeny bit Christmassy!

My pose is one of a set that is currently available at The Dressing Room Fusion. I haven’t poses for a while and am very lucky to be sent them as a blogger but I tried these out and thought they would be perfect for some blog posts and will be used lots and lots.

Pink Lady

I’ve had a big blog update today to catch up on the items that are available at the Cosmopolitan Sales Room for just a couple more days so this will be a short and sweet post I think.

I’m wearing a dress by MINT! which made me feel like getting dressed up in some girlie pinks and this is available at the Cosmo Sales Room. It comes in several pattern/colour combinations but this was my favourite so had to be blogged.

I then raided my blogging folder to find suitable pink items to go with the outfit and found quite a few items from a few old events that I didn’t manage to blog before but the credits are below just in case you can find them in store.

Royal

The name of this post is inspired by the singer Lorde which is also the name of the skin that I am wearing by Essences!

This song gets stuck in my head quite a lot if I hear just a snippet of it. The skin was available at the last round of Dressing Room Fusion.

I also chose this name for the post because of the beautiful Bali dress that I am wearing by FINESMITH for the current round of the Cosmopolitan Sales Room. The dress comes with a very nicely made belt and Collar which are the perfect accessories for this lovely dress. The dress comes in 12 different colours so there are lots to choose from and more than likely your favourite colour will be there 🙂

My pose is again the Victoria set by Quintessencia for the Cosmopolitan Sales Room. I think it really suits the casual look as in my last blog post as well as the more formal look that I am wearing here.

<3 Cosmo Sales Room

As the current round of the Cosmopolitan Sales Room draws to a close I thought it would be a good idea to show you a few of the itmes that are available before the sales end.

My top is by Ninety and is hud driven so you can change the pattern on the front between one of five very cute options. I also like the neckline with the dropped shoulder as this is a very cute shape.

My nails are by Quintessencia and are Slink applier layers. They are available for fingers and toes so you can have a matching pedicure and manicure and I think the pattern is very pretty and feminine.

Also from the Cosmo Sales Room is my pose by Quintessencia. There are 5 poses available both as the usual posing animations in SL but also as pose balls to help with those moments where your feet sink. I love the name as its mine in RL 😉 but these poses are good model poses which show of your outfit really well and look nice and feminine too. Well worth picking these up.

Finally -POUDRE- has a bunch of cute skin products/make up available at the current round of the Cosmo Sales Room including mesh eyelashes, eyes, eyeliners and this super super cute freckles tattoo layer which comes in 3 different options for the intensity of freckles but also gives you a cute little glimpse of your teeth too. I went for the lowest intensity of freckles as I really liked the scattering it gives but the 100% version is really nice too.

Hello 2014

So 2014 is here, I hope you had a brilliant NYE and are not feeling too sore on New Years Day! I have been to the shop and bought my hangover solution – Coca Cola, a Mars Bar and some salty crisps, works every time!

Have you made any New Years Resolutions? I haven’t made a conscious decision for any but am thinking I really want to blog more regulalry, I forget how much I enjoy it when i have a break and then love it all over again so I will try and be a better blogger this year I think.

I put today’s outfit on yesterday and when I logged back in today I still loved it so had to blog it.

I love the coat especially which is by (Elate!) at the current round of the Arcade Gacha. It came in a colour block version as well as this single colour version and I think the bold red colour looks great with the otherwise dark outfit.

I read that over knee boots (OKB don’t you know!) with short skirts that show just a bit of leg are very in at the moment so had to try my Bax Regency boots with the Emery skirt and I think it looks pretty great especially with the longer length of the jacket.

It’s Almost Over

I’ve been in world a bit more than normal the last few days as I am on vacation from work and I always forget how much I do enjoy being in world at times like this. I bought a new house a few weeks ago and have been getting all the finishing touches in order, helped by a few sales of course, and now really love my space again. If I get time I’ll take some pictures and post them here. It’s also great catching up with friends and family in world too.

I also managed to visit some of the events that are going on at the moment and love the look I put together mainly from Collabor88 but also with a touch of FaMESHed. My shoes are from last months Shoetopia event so I’m not sure if they are available in store but LaRoo Shoes are so cute you’ll find more pairs to love even if they aren’t.

Finally I have been sent some gorgeous Christmas gifts from designers this year including the pose I am using from Juxtapose. I think this is perfect as we head for New years Eve.

Happy Belated Christmas

Hi Everyone

I just wanted to wish everyone a very happy belated Christmas! I hope you all had amazing Christmases with your loved ones and were a little bit spoilt like everyone deserves!

My Christmas was a bit quirky as I’m in Australia this year rather than the UK where I grew up so it was a bit weird eating Christmas dinner outside because it was so warm. Also I had my first attempt at cooking the whole Christmas dinner on the BBQ incluidng the chicken! Somehow it all went perfectly and we had an awesome day.

My outfit is inspired by the gorgeous group gift that Sanya Bilavio of Ryvolver gave away as a Christmas group gift. You can’t go wrong with a bit of tartan at Christmas I think.

Connecting: 365 SL Lives

Most of the posts on this great project start with some background information so I thought I would do the same!

I’ve been in second life since the 3rd April 2007. I’m from the UK and discovered SL by reading about it in a magazine, got curious and 6 and a half years later I’m still here. Over the years I’ve done a few different jobs, mainly working in clubs until one day I decided to become a blogger. My plan was to undertake project 365 in SL but as with many things I got busy didn’t finish that and just developed the blog as a fashion blog, blogging the amazing clothes, shoes etc that I find in SL.
